Corrective Motion Chiropractic and Rehabilitation
Dr. Louise Bryant has worked in the health and fitness industry since 2001. She received a B.S. Sports Medicine Degree from the University of Southern Maine in 2003, and worked as a personal trainer at The Boston Athletic Club in Boston from 2003-2006. Here she developed skills working with individuals of all fitness levels and ages to meet their fitness and nutrition goals.
She received her doctoral degree fromThe University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. Here she was taught to utilize the most up to date diagnostic and treatment protocols that reflect the evidence provided within the latest research. This is known as an evidence-based practice.
While at The University of Bridgeport, Dr. Bryant provided chiropractic care at a multidisciplinary community clinic as an intern serving under a sports chiropractor. She then interned at The Veterans Hospital in West Haven Connecticut where she performed diversified adjustive techniques, soft tissue techniques, physical therapy modalities, and led patients through rehabilitative exercises. Dr. Bryant also completed her masters degree in nutrition while studying at The University of Bridgeport.
As a fitness professional, Dr. Bryant understands what types of pain should and should not be felt with certain exercises. If there is any question as to whether or not a movement is “good or bad” for an individual, she can dissect the movement, reveal the cause of pain and provide options for alternative movements.
Her personal philosphy is that wellness is achieved through healthy movement, healthy nutrition, healthy mental attitudes, and healthy social activities. Achieving wellness will allow the body to function properly, so that optimal health can be achieved. Her goal is to educate and motivate members of the community to take an active role in their health by encouraging them to make healthy lifestyle choices.
Dr. Bryant is a member of the American Chiropractic Association and the Maine Chiropractic Association. She is an American Council on Exercise (ACE) certified personal trainer, and enjoys an active lifestyle. She engages in multiple recreational sports and fitness activities(softball, running, hiking, skiing, kayaking, etc). Dr. Bryant is originally from Buckfield, ME.
